'The Only Impossible Journey is the One You Never Begin'
Growing up and living in a crowded, busy city until fairly recently seems like a lifetime ago now that I'm fortunate enough to be living in beautiful rural West Dorset. Life's journey and where it will take us isn't always clear until we are ready to embrace it - I couldn't have imagined being here 10 years ago!
I have a strong conviction that each of us can find our own way toward a more fulfilling life if we receive the right encouragement and guidance, and my own journey has been forever changed in so many positive ways by the kindness, experience and guidance shared with me by others. In recent years, this has led me to develop a regular meditation practice and mindful approach to life, and I often bring this to my practice in various different ways when it seems appropriate or helpful.
I have been working closely with Relate since 2009 and as a practising therapist since 2014. I then continued to train with the Institute of Family Therapy, becoming a fully qualified family therapist in addition to individual and couple counselling. I also work in a training/coaching capacity offering supportive courses to separated families struggling with communication and conflict, and offer counselling training to other professionals.
What I offer to my clients as a therapist is an opportunity to share what has been shared with me - what I have learnt, and continue to learn on my own journey - in order that I might help you with yours.
